A gaming-mad boy has revealed his ingenious creation after he made a Nintendo Game Boy console out of cardboard.

A clip of the young boy proudly in Venezuela displaying his creation wowed fans around the world after it resurfaced on Twitter this week, after it was originally posted on Instagram.

The clip shows the creative child playing on his cardboard Game Boy with Super Mario Bros being his game of choice.

He demonstrated how it works by using one hand to scroll through the level, where obstacles were hand drawn on paper.

Meanwhile, he used his other hand to move Mario up and down, with the aim of jumping over green pipes, across gaps and up stairs, much like the real game.

Fans were quick to praise the innovative creation and insist that Nintendo supply the inventor with a real Game Boy of his own.

One viewer wrote: ‘Nintendo better get this kid a real one!,’ to which a second replied, ‘Nintendo better hire this kid!’

A third praised the child, quipping: ‘This is the type of innovative mind the world needs. Love it.

‘It takes a creative mind to not only think this up with their imagination but innovative to find a way to implement it.

‘That thought process is gold. And if you want to go only a game route, do you know how much the game and toy industries make every year? They create a ton of products’.

Someone else agreed: ‘This kid is dextrous. This child can grow up to become a game developer’.

Meanwhile, another user remarked: ‘It’s amazing to see how resourceful and creative this child was, using what he had on hand to create a beloved video game console’.

Other generous people wrote: ‘Can we get someone to send the kid a Game Boy please? I feel like we could do that. No?’ and ‘I’m game for buying him a switch if like 100 people chip in’.

Another fan of the youngster quipped: ‘That’s actually awesome,’ while others chimed in with: ‘Smart and creative’ and ‘That’s so cool, super clever’.
