Katherine Jenkins was reunited with Sir David Beckham in the Royal Box on day one of Wimbledon on Monday, nine years after their OBE feud came to light.

The opera star, 46, arrived for the tennis tournament with her husband Andrew Levitas, and once again she found herself seated feet away from David, 51, who was joined by his mother Sandra.

Katherine looked gorgeous in a white and blue polka dot dress for the sunny day in SW19.  

Following similar seating arrangements for last year’s Wimbledon, she sat down in the row behind David, but didn’t interact with the star. 

In a series of leaked emails published in 2017 David was alleged to have slammed Katherine and questioned why she was awarded an OBE amid his own failure to secure a knighthood.

One email was alleged to have said: ‘Katherine Jenkins OBE for what? Singing at the rugby and going to see the troops plus taking coke. F****** joke.’

The Royal Box featured stars from all walks of the world, with David taking pride of place at the front, having just flown back from the States to watch the World Cup 

The opera star was awarded an OBE in 2014, for services to various charities and her journeying to war zones to entertain the troops. 

The hacked emails also suggested allegations surrounding his stance in the Scottish referendum and investing in loss-making companies to reduce his tax bill.

David’s representatives dismissed the claims at the time, stating that the emails had been ‘hacked and doctored’ from a private account.

A spokesperson said: ‘This story is based on outdated material taken out of context from hacked and doctored private emails from a third party server and gives a deliberately inaccurate picture.’

David was formally knighted by King Charles III in recognition of his services to sport and charity in November 2025. 

Katherine and David had allegedly been at odds years earlier, when she took to Twitter in 2012 to deny she had had an affair with him, a decision which reportedly left the England star utterly furious.

In 2018, Katherine claimed she was still waiting for an apology from the sports star.  

Speaking about the shock comments David made towards her, Katherine admitted she has no reason to feel anything but proud of her achievements.

Maura was stealing Zendaya’s style after the Hollywood star wore custom-designed heels by Loewe eaturing pin-thin heels puncturing a tennis ball in 2024 (left) – something Maura looked to replicate (right) 

She explained: ‘You’re just minding your own business and you get caught up in this massive storm. You just think, ”Aw, I wasn’t doing anything”. To get caught up in that wasn’t pleasant. I don’t know why, again, that was aimed at me.’

‘I also don’t feel the need to defend this, by the way. I know what I’ve done and when I got the OBE it was given to me for music, and for charity’.

When asked whether she was angry with David for his alleged comments, Katherine added: ‘It’s obviously disappointing. I’ve never heard anything from them about it.’
