Britney Spears reportedly caused a chaotic scene during a night out at a Los Angeles restaurant on Wednesday, just days after leaving rehab and pleading guilty to a DUI.
The 44-year-old appeared agitated during her visit to the Blue Dog Tavern in Sherman Oaks, according to multiple witnesses, per TMZ.
Sources describe a tense and unusual atmosphere as the pop star reportedly raised her voice, yelled and made barking sounds.
At one point, diners say Spears walked past a table holding a knife, prompting concern among patrons.
Witnesses say Spears shared food with an unidentified man accompanying her and appeared affectionate, telling him ‘I love you,’ though it was unclear whether the comment was serious or playful.
Restaurant staff reportedly had to intervene when Spears lit a cigarette near the entrance.
Spears’s representative told the Daily Mail: ‘This is completely blown out of proportion. She was simply telling the story about how her dog was barking at the neighbors.’

The scene underneath it also drew attention, with one witness remarking it looked ‘like a toddler had been there.’
As for her meal, sources say Spears ordered a burger and fries but ate very little, focusing mainly on the fries.
Several items, including what appeared to be a glass of orange juice, were left untouched.
The unusual scene quickly became the ‘talk of the restaurant’, with one witness remarking that it would ‘only happen in LA.’
The Daily Mail has contacted the Blue Dog Tavern for comment.

The full statement from Spears’s representative reads: ‘This is completely blown out of proportion. Britney was enjoying a quiet dinner with her assistant and bodyguard. She was simply telling the story about how her dog was barking at the neighbors.
‘At no point did she put anyone in danger with a knife. She was cutting her hamburger in half.
‘This constant attack on everything that she does and this is exactly what happened 20 years ago when the media tried to depict Britney as a bad person. This is ridiculous and it needs to stop now.’
It comes after Spears missed a rare family gathering on Saturday, where her sister Jamie Lynn’s daughter, Maddie, was celebrated for graduating from high school.
The singer pleaded guilty to a DUI last week, just two months after her arrest.
Only days before entering the plea, she left a substance abuse rehab facility after a three-week stay.
The antics didn’t stop there: earlier this year, she was spotted tottering out of a bar clutching a champagne flute, while her Instagram feed has been filled with topless snaps.

Spears’s family members were reportedly among the first people to check in with her following her DUI arrest in March.
Family sources said that Spears’s mother, Lynne, called her as soon as she learned of the arrest, at which point the singer had already been released from custody.
Sources also said that Spears spoke with her sons, Sean Preston, and Jayden, 19, both of whom moved to Hawaii with her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, in 2023, after she returned home.
Lynne allegedly wanted to let the singer know that she had her support.
Despite their infamous ups and downs in the four years since Spears’s conservatorship was ended, the two were said to be on good terms.
Jayden and Sean Preston allegedly became estranged from Spears in 2022, and they moved to Hawaii with their father the following year.
However, Spears reportedly reconciled with her sons.
Last year, Federline released the memoir You Thought You Knew, in which he spoke about how his sons developed a strained relationship with their mother after she allegedly ’emotionally traumatized’ them.

She was not charged in relation to the incident.
It was, however, not an isolated incident for Spears, who, in recent months, was filmed swerving into the wrong lane on a highway after a night out.
At the time, sources feared she was ‘spiraling’ amid the release of Federline’s memoir.
Spears also has a history of knife-related drama: in 2023, police reportedly visited her home after a video surfaced of her brandishing knives, though no charges were ever filed.
