EasyJet staff removed all passengers off a flight to Ibiza following a huge row involving a heavily-pregnant woman who was allegedly branded ‘abusive’ by an air hostess before she was ejected along with her family.

Siobhan Foster claims that herself and her entire family were thrown off the flight from Belfast to the Spanish party island on August 19 after a ‘grumpy’ air hostess allegedly ‘singled her out’ when she asked about overhead lockers.

The altercation meant that she and her husband as well as their disabled child were told they would not be flying from Belfast that day – meaning they had to spend £1500 flying from Dublin the next day in order to make her brother’s wedding.

EasyJet have since confirmed to MailOnline that although all passengers were made to leave the plane due to the situation, the vast majority were then reboarded and flew on to Ibiza.

However, in a lengthy statement on Facebook, Ms Foster claims that other passengers including the wedding party she was with then mutinied in support of her over the stewardess before they were also then booted off.

Ms Foster, from Newtonabbey, Belfast claims that the family were escorted off by airport police, with approximately 180 passengers left in the lurch for several hours at Belfast International Airport. She alleges they had to wait overnight to board a flight the next morning.

Video footage shared on social media apparently shows a trail of passengers collecting luggage and bags on the runway.

EasyJet denies any wrongdoing and insists they are not to blame. A spokesperson said that staff took action due to a ‘group of passengers behaving disruptively at check-in and then onboard’, before adding that the airline does not ‘tolerate abusive or threatening behaviour towards our crew or other passengers’.

Video shows a member of the wedding party, who is filming the alleged incident, saying to the staff: ‘Everybody’s seen it. The whole plane.’

The pilot can be seen standing in the doorway as someone repeats: ‘Walk off.’

Ms Foster, who is holding her one-year-old daughter Florence, then walks to the exit as the camerawoman says: ‘Hey Florence. Getting threw [sic] off the plane today, are we? Because of somebody thinking they’re better than everyone else? Yeah. Because of this one person.’

An air hostess is shown turning her face away from the camera as she repeats ‘Bye, bye’ to the disembarking passengers.

The woman filming then pans the camera to show a passengers leaving the plane, as she says: ‘This is going all over the internet, all over. Believe you, me.’

After disembarking the EasyJet flight, the camerawoman is then shown comforting Ms Foster who is in tears, reassuring her: ‘B******s. Don’t be crying, come on. As everyone else said on the plane, it’s nothing to do with you. Don’t be crying. Easy f***ing Jet.’

Ms Foster wrote on Facebook: ‘I will never fly with easyJet again I understand why people call them sleezy [sic] jet.’

Ms Foster, her husband James and their daughter were flying to Ibiza for her brother’s wedding when the alleged confrontation occurred.

She explained that they were seated in the ‘first seats’ after having paid for extra leg room in a bid to make her journey, at seven months pregnant, more comfortable.

‘This particular flight attendant had such a grumpy look on her face,’ she recalled. ‘James sat down with Florence and I asked her was there any more space in the overhead lockers, her reply was a sharp “Clearly Not”.

The heavily-pregnant mother says she asked the air hostess if she could help her find a place for her luggage but was instead told: ‘You’ll need to find somewhere yourself.’

Ms Foster, alleging there was ‘literally was nowhere’ to place her bag, claims she then said: ‘Can you please help me I’m heavily pregnant and my husband has our daughter.’

She says the stewardess’ response was: ‘You’re being abusive and it’s not my job to help you.’

‘Then another air hostess – an older lady – approached me to say “Look this isn’t our job to help” so I said any other airline I’ve flown with have been more than helpful with me as I’m pregnant etc,’ Ms Foster recalled.

In her post, she acknowledged that readers may question if she was acting abusively towards the flight crew, but she insists she wasn’t. She also argued that the ‘whole plane can vouch for me’.

She then found a place for her bag, put it in the overhead bin and sat down, Ms Foster recalls. She said the crew then came over towards her ‘saying I was being aggressive’.

The mother added: ‘Bearing in mind I’m heavily pregnant, I’m not going to stand and be aggressive. I decided to ignore her and she started raising her voice saying ‘Look at me!’ First of all, I’m not a child to be spoken to like that, and I was ignoring her as I was so upset at the way I was being treated.

‘Then her and another approached us to say we were being thrown off the plane – we asked why as we literally hadn’t done anything, once again she said were being aggressive. My brother and mum spoke to her asking exactly why we were being put off and again they couldn’t answer the question as they were in the wrong. After roughly one hour the whole plane was asked to get off.’

Ms Foster claims ‘everyone went back inside’ as police arrived. She recalled seeng roughly eight officers, three patrol cars and two officials from Swissport who she claims informed them that they were ‘not getting back on the plane’.

‘This was easyJet’s decision, not the police,’ she alleged, adding that her family then spent the entire fay in Belfast Airport.

‘My legs were so swollen and sore with being on them all this time, I was crying uncontrollably.

‘I’m so traumatised to the point I don’t know how I’ll ever fly again.

‘Every person on that plane is putting complaints in – some actually stood up on the plane to say to the pilot it was that air hostess who was being aggressive towards me, not me at all.’

Ms Foster added that there is a ‘full plane of witnesses’ who have indicated they are ‘willing to tell how unfairly we were treated’. She also claims there are videos and pictures that prove the air hostess demonstrated ‘disgusting behaviour’.

An EasyJet spokesman told MailOnline: ‘We can confirm that flight EZY3003 from Belfast to Ibiza on 19th August was attended by police before departure due to a group of passenger behaving disruptively at check in and then onboard.

‘easyJet’s cabin crew and ground agents are trained to assess and evaluate all situations and to act quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other passengers is not compromised at any time.

‘The Captain took the decision to ask all passengers on the flight to return to the terminal so the situation could be resolved and as soon as it was they reboarded and the aircraft continued to Ibiza.

‘Whilst such incidents are rare we take them very seriously and do not tolerate abusive or threatening behaviour towards our crew or other passengers. We would like to apologise to the other passengers for any inconvenience for the delay this caused.

‘The safety and wellbeing of our passengers, crew and ground agents is always easyJet’s priority.’
