They seemed to have it all: two beautiful children, a newly renovated home and a roster of celebrity friends.

But at the beginning of the year, Millie Mackintosh made the shock announcement that she was ending her marriage to Hugo Taylor, her husband of seven years and father to her two daughters.

Since the split, the former Made in Chelsea star, 37, has made much of the fact that she has started a new chapter.

And now, after a difficult eight months, the Daily Mail can reveal that a new man is putting a smile back on Millie’s face.

Walking hand-in-hand on a dog walk in Chelsea last Friday, Millie grinned alongside her muscular brown-haired companion before sharing a passionate moment while waiting to cross the road.

The pair looked smitten and struggled to keep their hands off of one another.

Millie looked chic in a black utility jacket and plunging top, teamed with blue jeans and Mary Jane ballet flats, accessorised with a vintage black jumbo Chanel double flap leather shoulder bag.

For the first time, I can disclose that Millie’s new boyfriend is Welsh fitness fanatic Matthew Tanner, 38, who works as a Global Solutions Director and Programme Director at Robert Walters Consultancy.

For their outing in west London, he wore a Ralph Lauren shirt with rolled up sleeves to show off a large arm tattoo, teamed with skinny chinos and loafers – a more sober change from the topless selfies littered across his Instagram.

The account, which has 4,600 followers, shows Matthew, who goes by Matty, seems to have plenty in common with his new girlfriend.

Like wellness-loving Millie, Matty is big on fitness – and is no stranger to showing off the results with mirror selfies of his chiselled six-pack.

He previously played amateur rugby but quit in 2025 following a knee injury. He’s since turned his attention to endurance racing and ultra-marathons.

His social media biography boasts of training blocks for the Barcelona Marathon in 2027, a London Backyard Ultra in 2027 and the gruelling Marathon des Sables Ultra set in the Moroccan Sahara in 2028.

Matty attended Cardiff Metropolitan University between 2008 and 2013, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences and Nutrition, according to his LinkedIn profile.

It’s possible that Millie met her new man on celebrity dating app Raya, which she signed up to over the summer. When she created her profile, sources close to Millie told the Daily Mail that the reality star was in ‘no rush’ to find a new relationship, but is open to ‘having some fun and getting back out there’.

In her profile, Millie describes herself as a ‘creator, entrepreneur and author,’ and in a nod to her delay in joining a dating app, her ‘chosen track’ which plays when someone views her profile is Lizzo’s About Damn Time.

She added that someone with ’emotional intelligence’ would be the most attractive to her.

Although Millie now seems content with her new man, her dating history has been far from smooth sailing.

For starters, Millie and Hugo’s relationship played out publicly on the reality series Made In Chelsea where they met and started dating in 2011.

And they were famously at the heart of one of the show’s best-known moments. In a scene filmed at a bar, a furious Millie had just discovered Hugo had cheated on her with her best friend, Rosie Fortescue. In true reality TV style, she exacted her revenge by throwing a drink in his face.

Following the fallout, the couple split in 2011 after just six months of dating. Then Millie quit the show in 2013, with Hugo exiting shortly after.

Millie and Hugo reconciled after a five-year gap, during which Millie married the rapper Professor Green, whose real name is Stephen Manderson.

Her first divorce was finalised in 2016, with Millie later opening up about the relationship, describing it as ‘toxic’ and explaining that they were both going through personal struggles and mistakenly thought they could fix each other.

Millie and Hugo were able to put their turbulent past behind them and got back together in 2016. They went on to marry and have two daughters – Sienna, six, and Aurelia, four – as well as a newly renovated dream £5million home in west London.

However, in February the Daily Mail reported that the couple had quietly split.

One source said it was Millie who wanted to walk away from the marriage, adding: ‘While the split is deeply affecting Millie, she feels it is the right decision for them both moving forward.’

The pair officially filed for divorce in March and have both appointed legal teams. They’re said to have wanted a ‘clean break’ while continuing to co-parent.

Shortly after her split from Hugo, Millie spent time at a luxury wellness retreat in India, designed to ‘reset’ the nervous system and spark new beginnings. Meanwhile, Hugo was thousands of miles away on a skiing holiday.

She removed her wedding ring and shared a defiant quote on Instagram: ‘And then the moon said to me. Dear girl, it’s time to own your f***ing power.’

Meanwhile, Hugo was pictured wearing his wedding band in June while celebrating his 40th birthday.

Clearly feeling reflective, Hugo wrote on Instagram: ’40 years around the sun. Today I am so grateful for the life I have lived, the love I have been shown and the joy I have received. To my amazing family, friends and everyone I have met along the road I thank you for making it a life to be remembered and celebrated.

‘The last decade has given me a beautiful marriage, fatherhood, a career I am proud of and countless moments that I will treasure for ever. I am genuinely proud of what I have done and the evolution I have gone through.’

Then, in July, Millie proved she was getting over Hugo when she moved into a new house with her children.

In a candid post on Instagram, Millie seemed overwhelmed with emotion and captioned a photo of herself in her new hallway: ‘Six months ago you didn’t know you’d be ok. Today you got the keys to your new home.

‘Divorce isn’t the ending I imagined for myself, but this house, this next bit feels like proof that new beginnings really can be beautiful even when they start with cardboard boxes and lots of uncertainty,’ she added.

However, just last week Millie – who went sober in 2023 due to her anxiety – said she is struggling to sleep as she ‘adjusts’ to co-parenting.

In a new Instagram post captioned ‘recent realities’, she got candid about how tough things have been now that she is living apart from Hugo.

She penned: ‘I’m still adjusting to co-parenting and the girls living between two homes.’

While on another page of the post, she said: ‘I haven’t been sleeping well and I can feel my anxiety quietly creeping back in.’

Meanwhile Hugo is thought to still be single and appears to be throwing himself into work. He is currently in New York with activewear brand Oner Active, where he is the customer acquisition and growth director.

So, as Millie embraces her new chapter with open arms, will Hugo finally be able to move on, too?
