Rivals star Bella Maclean was pictured with her new boyfriend, Ted Hansen in Mojacar, Spain on Friday, ahead of her co-star Emily Atack’s wedding.

The actress plays the doe-eyed Taggie O’Hara pining after the dashing Rupert Campbell Black in the hit TV adaptation of Jilly Cooper’s bonkbuster.

Ms Maclean, 28, sported a baseball cap and blue shorts as the couple went for lunch in the Spanish hilltop town.

A source has told the Daily Mail: ‘They have been dating for a while and were all over each other watching Spandau Ballet’s Tony Hadley perform and she was stroking his hair back in May, he looked very proud of her.

‘They seemed very happy together.’

The pair are joined by her co-stars Alex Hassell and Victoria Smurfit.

Hansen works full-time as an artist producing comically surreal wall hangings after studying at Falmouth and Leeds University.

The actress has a busy schedule, as after ten months of shooting Rivals, she also recently returned from Mississippi working on a forthcoming indie film, In Starland.

Tomorrow Ms Atack will tie the knot once again to Dr Alistair Garner in a second star-studded Spanish wedding.

And this morning she was spotted in the town ahead of the nuptials, which will take place at a lavish ceremony at a 16th-century church.

The actress was seen showing her family and close friends the set-up, which includes the courtyards of the two neighbouring restaurants she has rented out.

Expected to be joined by 200 guests tomorrow, the actress appeared relaxed in a vintage floral dress from the archival collection of Diane von Furstenberg, and Prada sunglasses.

Outside the church, cases of £18-a-bottle Cava were being delivered by staff, alongside boxes of beer, wine and spirits for the after-party attended by Ms Atack’s Rivals castmates.

Last night, Hassell, who famously starred opposite Ms Atack in the naked tennis scene as Rupert Campbell-Black, touched down in the southeastern province of Spain with his wife, Emma King.

The 46-year-old actor, wearing a tan T-shirt and jeans, was spotted running at Almeria Airport before jumping in a chauffeured car for the hour drive down to Mojacar.

Ms Smurfit, who plays Aidan Turner’s wife Maud O’Hara, was also spotted hiring a car at the Spanish airport with her husband, Steve Jacobs.

Rufus Jones, who plays Ms Atack’s on-screen husband in Rivals, Paul Stratton, was also seen out sightseeing with his wife Philippa Allam ahead of the ceremony.

Having her wedding in the British holiday hotspot has always been a dream of Ms Atack’s after spending her childhood summers at her father’s property.
