A transgender policewoman is on trial in Germany after being accused of raping a 14-year-old girl and possessing a stash of child pornography files.

The accused appeared before Traunstein Regional Court on Tuesday, where prosecutors said that files containing graphic scenes of violence against children as young as three had been discovered on the former police officer’s computer.

Other videos were found showing the defendant with several sexual partners and a dog.

Alongside charges of rape, abuse of minors, assault, distribution of pornographic material, and possession of child pornography, the public prosecutor’s office has also accused the defendant of producing bestiality.

The 55-year-old is accused of raping a friend’s daughter in August 2025 in the toilet of a restaurant.

The transgender woman had previously sent the 14-year-old girl a pornographic text message from the police station.

The indictment regarding the crime states: ‘The victim was unable to react and stared at the accused in shock.’

‘The accused left the cubicle, and the victim, trembling all over and with her heart pounding, locked herself in the toilet.’

The prosecution and defence have agreed to a plea bargain in this case, meaning that if convicted, the defendant can expect a prison sentence of three to three and a half years.

The 55-year-old, who is currently being held in the men’s section of Munich prison, must make a full confession for the plea deal to take place.

The court has meanwhile excluded the public from the questioning of the defendant.

‘The defendants’ personal circumstances contain details about intimate relationships and therefore interests worthy of protection,’ the presiding judge said.

Originally, four days of hearings had been scheduled, with a verdict potentially due on October 8.

However, the plea agreement could bring the proceedings to an earlier end, potentially sparing the 14-year-old from having to testify in court.
