When you’re a new bride, it’s natural to want to embrace it in every detail, through jewellery, personalised accessories and elegant white dresses.
Harriet Sperling did exactly that on day five of Royal Ascot, looking radiant in a Beulah London Ahana lace dress.
But fans were so taken with her outfit that they missed one key detail: her shoes.
The NHS nurse chose a pair of gold baroque-embossed heels by Manolo Blahnik, part of an exclusive collaboration with Emilia Wickstead, who designed her wedding dress.
Crafted from opulent jacquard, the Hangisi shoes feature Manolo Blahnik’s signature crystal buckle and sit on 70mm heels – making them a truly regal choice.
Of course, it was Sarah Jessica Parker’s iconic Sex and the City character Carrie Bradshaw who cemented the Hangisi as a fashion classic.
The fictional fashionista’s wardrobe was filled with statement heels, with the Manolo Blahnik courts becoming instantly recognisable thanks to their satin finish and crystal buckle. She famously wore a pair on her wedding day to Mr Big.
Harriet also follows in the footsteps of Catherine, Princess of Wales, who owns her own pair of Hangisi shoes.
In 2022, she wore them in a portrait with Prince William unveiled at the University of Cambridge’s Fitzwilliam Museum, pairing the emerald heels with a metallic green midi dress by The Vampire’s Wife.
