Holidaying Brits have been flocking to a British-themed restaurant in sunny Costa Del Sol, which bears a number of similarities to a famous UK pub chain.

Costa Del Sol is best known for its beautiful beaches, Tivoli World Theme Park – and now for its very own version of Wetherspoons.

The pub dupe, with the witty name of ‘Weatherspains’, is located in Benalmádena, in Southern Spain.

It has quickly become a popular place for tourists to enjoy a slice of home after spending the day in the sun abroad.

The similarities between the UK pub chain and the Benalmádena bar don’t begin and end at the similar names – the menu and price tag are also very much alike.

The Weatherspains menu is far cry from the tapas you would expect to see in a restaurant in southern Spain.

But it does boast all the pub classics such as gammon, chips and peas, sausage and mash, as well as an assortment of different flavoured pies.

The British-themed restaurant also dishes up burgers, salads, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, starters – and even desserts for those with a sweet tooth.

The Costa Del Sol pub offers table service so customers don’t have to deal with the hassle of going to and fro for their drink orders, similar to the UK pub which offers table service via their app.

Much like its British look alike, the Spanish restaurant hosts a myriad of pints and cocktails to accommodate all its visitors.

However, despite the name and a few other similarities, not everything in the Spanish pub is identical to the UK classic.

First thing is the hot weather. Unlike British punters who most of the time have to enjoy their pint inside, tourists can relax on the terrace with their cold pint to hand whilst soaking up the warm weather.

They also hold weekend events such as karaoke, raffles and bingo – a world away from the Wetherspoon pubs in the UK.
