The Princess of Wales put on an elegant display as she arrived at Wimbledon this morning, marking her first appearance at the Championships this year.

Kate, 44, looked typically stylish in a royal blue suit from Gabriela Hearst, teamed with a white H&M top and £160 Carousel Jewels lapis and moonstone earrings when stepping out at SW19.

The mother-of-three kept her hair in a chic updo to better show off her new jewellery and finished off her look with a smattering of glamorous makeup before shielding her eyes with a pair of Ralph Lauren sunglasses.

Kate, patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC), visited The Queue upon her arrival, spending time meeting attendees who have waited since early this morning for Wimbledon tickets.

She also helped hand out grounds passes to tennis fans, some of whom had camped overnight in Wimbledon Park, and met with AELTC’s Honorary Stewards, who volunteer each year to manage The Queue and welcome guests as they arrive.

Later this afternoon, Kate is expected to watch a match on one of the outer courts. She will be joined by chair of the All England Club Deborah Jevans.

During her time at the Championships, the Princess will also meet children from Shine Camera Club.

The creative photography programme is based within the charity SHINE Merton which supports children from disadvantaged backgrounds to develop confidence, creativity and self expression through photography.

Shine Camera Club was founded in 2021 by photographer Cindy Sasha, to ensure that children in Mitcham, many of whom face significant barriers to cultural participation, could access high-quality photography education free of charge.

In 2025, Shine Camera Club took part in a learning programme during the Championships, where students created a portrait series celebrating community trailblazers, which was later exhibited at the Wimbledon Qualifiers.

This year, the children will spend the day taking photos of the Championships, and the Princess will join them to learn about the charity and view the photos they’ve taken.

As a royal patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club since 2016, Kate is a regular fixture at the prestigious tournament.

She has attended most years since 2011, missing only 2013, when she was pregnant with Prince George, and 2020, when the tournament was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

It is unclear whether she will sit in the Royal Box on Centre Court today where third seed Iga Swiatek is due to take on Karolina Pliskova in the second round of the Ladies Singles.

This will be followed by young French star Arthur Fils, 20, who is taking on Italian player Matteo Berrettini.

Two-time Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina will close out play on the show court with her match against American Caty McNally.

Kate’s appearance at the Championships today comes just days after she completed the gruelling Three Peaks Challenge on Saturday night.

She did the endurance event solo and was supported on the route by Mountain Rescue, with her family meeting her at the last stop at the base of Snowdon in Wales.

Kate was last at Wimbledon for the men’s final in 2025 when she handed Jannik Sinner the trophy following an enthralling four-set final.

She was joined in the Royal Box by her husband Prince William, eldest son Prince George and Princess Charlotte but Prince Louis stayed at home.
