The Princess of Wales rounded out the week with a very special royal engagement in Northern Ireland today.

Kate, 44, joined her husband, the Prince of Wales for a series of engagements in south Belfast as part of his Homewards initiative today.

For the occasion, Kate paired an ivory ruffled blouse from Savile Row supremo Daisy Knatchbull’s label with a green checked skirt from one of her favourite labels, Emilia Wickstead.

Dressed for cooler weather, Kate added a long black coat from Catherine Walker – another one of her go-to brands – and finished the look with gold Cartier earrings and black Gianvito Rossi pumps. She also carried a jade bag from Mulberry in a nod to the country.

This comes after Meghan recently stepped into the limelight in London wearing a £28,000 chic outfit accompanied by Malala Yousafzai after afternoon tea.

While Meghan’s outfit costs a pretty penny, we found her entire look on the high street, for just under £500.

Kate’s look has completely sold out, but there are several high-street alternatives that can help you recreate her chic autumnal ensemble for less.

These include some very convincing lookalikes of the tartan skirt, from brands like M&S, John Lewis and Next that cost a fraction of the original £1,450 designer piece.

The Princess of Wales today accompanied her husband for the first time on one of his engagements to combat homelessness, with William proudly telling his hosts: ‘I am bringing her to see a one-stop-shop on homelessness today.’

The couple – known as Baron and Baroness Carrickfergus in Northern Ireland – were in Belfast to visit two projects connected with the future king’s Homewards initiative.

The scheme aims to eradicate homelessness in key areas of UK as an example of how the issue can be tackled when organisations and agencies pull together.

Dressed in a kilt, frilled blouse and blazer, the princess arrived with her husband amid a strict security blackout. According to Northern Ireland protocol, royal visits are shrouded in secrecy until after they take place for security reasons.

The couple spoke to employers, frontline organisations and young people involved in the Homewards’ New Employment Opportunities Network (Neon), a cross-sector organisation which was launched in Northern Ireland in 2025 and has already seen seven local employers recruited 21 young people through the network and is being rolled out nationwide.
