The Spencer sisters looked elegant as ever in colour-coordinated pink ensembles as they attended a fashion show in Germany last night.

Princess Diana’s nieces Lady Eliza and her twin Lady Amelia, both 30, were at the event to mark the 50th anniversary of designer Marc Cain GmbH at the event in Bodelshausen.

The socialites showed off their stylish flair as they posed for pictures at the glamorous venue, and enjoyed a catwalk show where they watched from the front row.

Their appearance came as their family marked the anniversary of their aunt Princess Diana’s passing.

The twins previously said their aunt, who died in a car crash in Paris when they were five, was ‘loving’ and had a ‘talent for reading children’s hearts’.

Amelia lit up the room in bright pink culotte trousers and a matching blue and magenta silk blouse which was tucked in at the waist.

To accessorise, she held onto a bag which popped against her pearly white manicure.

Elsewhere, Eliza was the picture of sophistication in a pastel pink dress, which featured cape-like detailing along the shoulders.

Adding a touch of glitz, she teamed the simple yet elegant frock with a silver clutch and heels.

Both sisters swept their blonde tresses back into a chic updo, and kept their make-up clean and minimal.

They sat in the front row at the fashion show, and were joined by Diane Kruger, whom they could be seen sharing a smile with at the event.

Their appearance came as the Spencer family marked the 26th anniversary of Princess Diana’s passing yesterday.

Lady Eliza previously admitted neither of the twins had any idea of Diana’s impact on the world until years after her death.

‘We always just knew her as our aunt,’ she told Tatler in 2021, adding that she remembers her as ‘incredibly warm, maternal and loving’.

‘Growing up in South Africa, I really had very little idea of how significant she was in the world until I was much older… She always made an effort to connect with us as children and had a talent for reading children’s hearts.’

Eliza recalled how on one occasion, the twins went with their aunt to Noordhoek, a beach known for its freezing water, and were approached by a photographer.

‘Obviously it could have been quite terrifying for us, being so young and not understanding what was happening,’ she said.

‘But she turned it into a game of who could get back to the car first. It was amazing how she protected us in a way that made us feel safe and not frightened.

‘We had no idea what she was doing at the time. As a child, I realised the enormity of the loss for my father and family. It was only later that I came to understand the significance of the loss of her as a figure in the world.’

Yesterday their father Charles Spencer shared a heartwarming tribute to his late sister Princess Diana.

Earl Spencer, 59, who lives in Althorp House, Northampton, took to Twitter to share a childhood picture with the late Diana, Princess of Wales.

To mark the occasion, Charles Spencer has shared a childhood photograph with his sister, and viewers have flocked to the comments to provide support.

The photograph showed a summertime throwback of the siblings as children.

Diana wore an adorable pink dress while putting her arm around her younger brother’s shoulder and looking towards the camera.

While Charles sported an all-blue look with a striped, polo t-shirt and matching royal blue shorts.

The post, which was shared in the early hours of the morning, has since amassed more than 20 thousand views.

Charles chose not to caption the sentimental post, but racked up hundreds of comments from others who have fond memories of the late Princess.

Touched by the Earl’s tribute, one person wrote: ‘Adorable photo. Diana was so lovely and I’m sure the best big sister, too. I grew up loving Diana like most of this world did. You help keep her goodness and spirit alive by being the person you are. Thank you for that.’
