This is the shocking moment an idiot passenger ‘surfs’ on the front of a moving carriage on London’s Docklands Light Railway.

The clip, which stunned users on TikTok, shows a shadowy figure moving outside the window in the dark, clinging to the front of the moving train before it hurtles into a station.

The video is captioned with ‘London teens are a different breed I swear’ while Back on 74 by the band Jungle plays over the top.

The bright lights and white interior of the tunnel then illuminate the passenger clinging to the front of the train with their back to the window, facing out onto the tracks.

DLR trains have a top speed of 62mph and typically average 40mph between stations.

The death defying feat happened at night and the twinkling lights of London’s skyline can be seen as the DLR carriage rattles along the track before stopping at a station to pick up passengers.

Passengers in the carriage appeared to remain calm despite seeing the individual outside the safety of the carriage.

DLR trains operate on a computerised system and are driverless, but train attendants do travel on board and can operate the train manually if needed.

This is not the first time such a dangerous stunt has been attempted.

In 2019 a teenager climbed onto the back of a DLR train as it pulled away from Lewisham station in London.

The youth gleefully jumped aboard and hung onto handrails as the carriage chugged off down the railway track as a stunned railway worker stared on in disbelief.

A spokesperson for TfL declined to comment.
