Shocking footage has shown the horrific moment two men tumbled off the roof of a friend’s sports car while trying to snap a picture of a rapper – before the driver led police on a 115mph chase.

Kaseem Ashraf, 25, received an eight-month suspended prison sentence at Oxford Crown Court on September 7 for the stunt.

Video of the incident shows Ashraf showing off his father’s souped-up BMW i8 sports car outside nightclubs during the early hours of September 28 last year.

Two men are at on the £100,000 vehicle’s roof taking a photo of an unnamed rapper, when suddenly Ashraf suddenly speeds up – sending them tumbling off the car.

Both men were knocked out in the incident, with one being taken to hospital with a blood clot in his lung.

The powerful motor then ran a red light before being chased by police in a pursuit which topped speeds of 115mph in a 30mph zone – at one point narrowly avoiding a group of pedestrians.

During his trial, prosecutor Victoria Forbes said that Ashraf had been driving so fast that speed cameras were unable to read his licence plate.

PC Brian Perry, of Thames Valley Police, released the shocking footage and said: ‘Ashraf displayed a complete disregard for the safety of others in the way that he drove dangerously in a heavily populated area of the city centre.

‘He then went on to show the same level of regard for the investigation when he refused to provide an evidential drug drive specimen.’

Ashraf later stopped for police following the chase outside of a family home, and claimed that he had switched vehicles with his brother and father – implying he had not been driving during the incident.

This was revealed as a lie by a female passenger of the car, and Ashraf subsequently tested positive at the roadside for cannabis.

He later refused to give a sample of his blood telling the officers he was Muslim, and claiming it was ‘against his religion’.

Earlier this month, Recorder Joseph Hart, the judge who spared him an immediate spell behind bars, told the BMW driver: ‘If you must show off, show this court and your family that you can get clear of drugs and never be in that dock again.’
